Police Records Requests

The Lincoln City Police Department will disclose police reports unless the report is exem

Records

pt from public disclosure under the public records law. All record requests must be in made writing either in person, via mail or by fax.

The agency's full-time Administrative Assistant or his/her designees address all requests for routine releases of police reports. The Chief of Police may review all other non-routine public records requests.

The established records fees will be charged to the requesting party, unless they are requesting a copy of a police report in which they are listed as the victim.

Property/Evidence

The Lincoln City Police Department employs a full-time Property & Evidence Technician for managing the agency's property and evidence room. The property/evidence room is a secure storage area for housing all evidence, safekeeping, and found property brought in by department members.

Our Property & Evidence Technician assists the agency by ensuring that all submitted property items are packaged, cataloged, and stored properly and also assists the Administrative Assistant as needed.
